If you’re passionate about studying Manufacturing Engineering while getting real-life experience then this is the perfect programme for you. You’ll be working with one of the world’s biggest manufacturers of agricultural and industrial equipment, shaping the future of our products through research and innovation.
You’ll be starting out on your journey towards Chartership in Manufacturing Engineering, developing knowledge and hands-on skills to research new technologies, design and develop our machinery and become a skilled JCB engineer. It takes between two-and-a-half to three years to complete the programme and you’ll spend one day a week at the JCB Academy and the rest of your working week in your allocated part of the business.
When you complete the programme you’ll receive a Level 4 Manufacturing Engineering Apprenticeship but perhaps even more importantly you’re guaranteed a role here. You’ll be learning from the best in the business and earning as you go. You’ll understand JCB’s ‘culture of continuous improvement’ and be ready to live that culture through the work you do. There’s also an option to top up to a Level 6 qualification with an extra 18 months.
We’re looking for logical, scientific and mathematical thinkers who have either an A level in Maths, Science, Technology or Engineering, a Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship or an Advanced Diploma in Engineering or Manufacturing plus at least four GCSEs or equivalent including Maths, English and a relevant scientific/technical subject at C/4 or above. We want people who are looking for a career that will let you make your mark in a field that you’re committed to.
