Spend your summer learning from some of the best in the industry, getting practical experience in a relevant area of the business. You’ll complete one or two project-based tasks during the summer placement and you might find yourself working in parts of the business such as Operations, Marketing, Commercial, Logistics, Aftermarket, HR, Sales or Purchasing.
During these placements you will have the opportunity to work with our experienced teams on real projects. It’s a chance to put the theory you’re learning at university into practice, learn new skills and get a detailed understanding of how a business like ours operates.
This undergraduate placement is a unique opportunity to spend your summer being paid while you learn from colleagues with years of experience, working on projects that will have an impact in the real world. It will give you a good understanding of how all the different parts of our business come together to form JCB. You can also get involved in community-based activities and become a STEM ambassador as part of the scheme.
We’re looking for students in their first, second or third year at university who are on-track to get a 2:1 or above. You’ll be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be great at solving problems, building relationships and communicating. You’ll be confident working with key stakeholders and may even speak a second language! The scheme is based in Staffordshire so you will be ready and willing to relocate if you’re not local - if you’re the right candidate we can offer support with this!
