Spend your summer learning from some of the best in the industry, getting practical experience in a relevant area of the business. You’ll complete one or two project-based tasks during the summer placement. You could find yourself designing or developing current or new product introductions in various areas of the business, doing research in our innovation centre or a more commercially focused placement to experience engineering from a different perspective.
During these placements you will have the opportunity to work with our experienced teams on real projects. It’s a chance to put the theory you’re learning at university into practice, learn new skills and get a detailed understanding of how a major engineering and manufacturing business like ours operates.
This undergraduate placement is a unique opportunity to spend your summer being paid while you learn from colleagues with years of experience, working on projects that will have an impact in the real world. You can also get involved in community-based activities and become a STEM ambassador as part of the scheme.
We’re looking for Engineering students in their first, second or third year at university who are on-track to get a 2:1 or above. You’ll be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be great at solving problems and communicating and passionate about working for JCB. You’ll also be pro-active with a can-do attitude and able to work on your own initiative in a team environment.
