During the 18-month programme, you’ll do four placements selected to match your individual interests. You’ll find yourself contributing to large scale projects and learning from industry professionals.
Projects could include the design and development of vehicle control systems, vehicle wiring schematics or research into innovative areas including; hybridisation, electrification and automation. You could also do a more commercially focused placement to experience engineering from a different perspective.

That’s why our graduate scheme is designed to attract the best engineers of the future. You’ll receive a salary as you learn and you’ll be mentored throughout by an experienced member of our team who will make sure you get everything possible out of the scheme and help you work towards professional registration with either iMechE or IET. You can also get involved in community-based activities and become a STEM ambassador as part of the scheme.
We’re looking for someone who has completed, or is close to completing, an appropriate Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and is on track to achieve at least a 2:1. It’s important that you are dedicated, willing to learn, tenacious, with a can-do attitude and sense of urgency. You’ll be a hands-on problem-solver who is able to use JCB processes, systems and standards to support decision making. The scheme is based in Staffordshire so you will need to relocate if you’re not local - it will be worth it for the career development you receive!
